There are only a handful of good quality, 1000 yard range megaphones on the market. Whilst there are some megaphone manufacturers that puport to having a range up to 1000 yards, few of them can actually pull it off.
Naturally the Fanon 1000 yarder is a great example, but it also has a pretty big price tag at nearly $200. We personally would go in for this Champion Sports 16-30 watt megaphone that has adjustable volume controls, a powerful inbuilt siren and a detachable, handheld microphone (to save your arm!).

It is loud and clear. It worked beautifully. There was no need to raise my voice so my students could hear me. We had a dance festival with 150 first graders and it helped to keep all of the children focused.
There are some saying that the product is fairly old now, but the reality is that is a great bit of kit and there have not been too many advancements in the world of megaphones in the last 10 years!
